Mining exploration site in the Mauritanian desert at sunset

Mauritania · Extractive sector

Mining excellence driving Mauritania's sustainable development.

From radiometric exploration to responsible mining, MENAJEM unlocks Mauritania's geological potential — iron ore, gold, copper and uranium — while creating shared value.

About

A key partner in Mauritania's mining sector

Based in a proven stable region, MENAJEM focuses on Mauritania's most promising geological provinces, notably the Archean and Proterozoic basement of the Reguibat Shield. Drawing on in-depth knowledge of local formations (Tasiast Suite, Çtel Ogmâne Complex), we support the country's industrial transformation through absolute operational rigour, ecosystem protection and the development of local skills.

Our story

Our areas of expertise

A mastered value chain, from anomaly to orebody

Radiometric Exploration & Geological Mapping

Advanced detection through airborne geophysical surveys, ground radiometric grids (high-precision RadEye scintillometers) and identification of complex lithological structures: mafic dykes, granodiorites, intrusive granites.

RC Drilling & Precision Sampling

Command of reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaigns and structured trench networks (channel sampling) to accurately assess the extent and grade of primary and secondary mineralisation.

Impact Management & QA/QC

Rigorous quality control protocols (QA/QC) on sample analysis (U3O8, Au, Cu) and systematic environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA), with immediate site rehabilitation and trench backfilling.

Flagship project

Uranium and strategic minerals focus

Tiferchai area — North-West Mauritania

Located roughly 130 km east of Nouâdhibou, in the rocky plains of the Sahara, the Tiferchai area hosts intensive exploration campaigns targeting Group 4 minerals (uranium and radioactive elements).

01

Methodology

Follow-up of airborne radiometric anomalies (Anomaly G North and G South) through detailed geological trenching and inclined RC drilling.

02

Geology

Targeting uranium mineralisation — notably carnotite — associated with the intrusive granites of the Tasiast Suite.

03

Results

High-grade mineralised intersections identified from surface, proving our ability to turn a geophysical anomaly into a tangible resource.

ESG commitments & local content

Creating shared value, sustainably

Our commitments shape every phase of our projects, from the first field campaign to site rehabilitation.

Local skills development

In line with Mauritanisation requirements, we invest first in the technical training of our field teams: geophysical equipment handling, drilling logistics and sampling procedures.

Environmental responsibility

Every project includes an environmental management plan. Our trenching and drilling campaigns follow strict clean-up, sample preservation (chip trays) and desert soil rehabilitation procedures.

Governance & transparency

Our operations comply strictly with the Mauritanian Mining Code and our joint-venture agreements, guaranteeing full traceability of assay results from certified laboratories.

Contact & partnerships

Let's invest together in Mauritania's mining future.
